A man sentenced to nine months house arrest begged a judge to jail him instead because he couldn't stand his wife's nagging.

Algerian Ahmed Salhi, 24, was sentenced to a nine month curfew at home with his Italian wife in Ferrara, northern Italy.

But he went back to court after a week and begged the judge to jail him because he could not bear her nagging.

Salhi was sentenced to nine months house arrest after breaching immigration regulations.

But he turned up at his local courtroom and begged to be taken into custody because he said he could no longer stand living with her, and would rather be behind bars, Corriere della Sera reported.

He said: "I need some peace."

A local court agreed to the Salhi's request and he has been jailed for the rest of his sentence.

This guy doesn't know it yet but his troubles are only just beginning.

His wife just applied for a job...as a prison guard.

She starts Monday.

Save your nagging for your husband, (poor sob).

"Maybe that's why in all those Mob movies those guys have girlfriends? HAHA"

LOL, It's also probably why Italian men drink so much wine.

Nagging occurs when she thinks that what you are is not good enough for her. Nagging also makes them feel better, so it becomes addictive and they turn the home into a battleground.

"Better to live on the roof than share the house with a nagging wife". (Prov 21.9) ...
" A constant dripping on a day of steady rain and a contentious woman are alike” (Proverbs 27:15).
...a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping." Proverbs 19:13

I like to think it wasn't Amelia's navigational skills so much as her mechanical incompetence that led to her crash...And possible death by cannibal. :-)

She shoulda taken Dasher with her.

He didn't know she was a nag BEFORE he married her?

He doesn't sound too bright. Men, FYI if you don't want to be nagged DON'T MARRY YOUR MOTHER figure.

Men in general, they want to marry their mommy, a maid and a whore all wrapped up in one.

Exactly.
Weak men get nagged, because they marry overbearing women. Then they're too sissy to do anything about it but whine to other men.

Yeah, avoid marriage like the plague.

LOL, I was told that line about how "some" men wanting to marry a mother/maid/whore combination by an eighty year old woman who had been married to the same man for over fifty years and successfully raised their offspring. Totally floored me when she said that. Very funny woman.
I miss our fun chats. She was a hip granny and a good hearted christian.

Women hope men will change after marriage but they don't; men hope women won't change but they do.

Marriage: A word which should be pronounced "mirage."

Marriage is a wonderful invention: then again, so is a bicycle repair kit.

mother/maid/whore

Good advice; and each man desires different measures of each trait. I guess the trick would be to figure out which you're best at, then find a man who needs mostly that.
The future worries me, because I think most boys these days are going to want primarily mothering when they get to be full-grown metrosexual men...
And mothering all the time is a relationship-killer.
