The Curse of Hillary Remains (Yankees lose again)
10 Oct 2005 | Me

Posted on 10/10/2005 8:49:06 PM PDT by Sometimes A River

The Yankees lose the ALDS to the Angels 3 games to 2.

The Yankees have not won a thing since the World Series of October 2000 (days before Hillary was elected Senator from New York).

They lost the 2001 World Series to the Diamondback of Arizona and the 2003 World Series to the Marlins of Florida. Last year they didn't even make the World Series, losing in dramatic fashion to the then-cursed Boston Red Sox.

Maybe New Yorkers will wake up and throw her out of office...if they ever want to win a World Series again.

Lets just hope she jinx's the 2008 presidency and does not win. She continues to trudge through the $h*t making her way to the high office.

I'm not a Yankees fan, so I am glad our Anaheim Angels (not the BS name Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

I was NOT disappointed when the Rangers got rid of him!

Let's hope the Rangers can at least win a division title before our new GM reaches puberty.

LOL---yeah, and instead of hiding out at Dallas Country Club playing golf....

he will be at Six Flags!!! LOL

Seriesly, though, can he be any worse than John Hart has been???

I was SO happy to see Alex Rodriguez lay another playoff egg!!! Of course, he will still prolly get the MVP..which he should be disqualified for considering his playoff record....LOL

A-Rod may have the best stats (although I question how he did in the only stat that really matters, batting percentage with runners in scoring position), but "Most Valuable Player?" Hardly.

I hope A-Rod does win the MVP, just to rile the Yankee die-hards out there.

When the playoffs roll around, my allegiance switches from the Rangers (except for a blue-moon appearance in the playoffs) to the team that's playing against the Yankees.

Now, I'll stick with the Angels for the next series. I had Anderson and Figgins on my fantasy team this year. As usual, I brought up the rear, thanks to second half collapses by Blalock, Mench, Alex Gonzalez (D'Backs), Rogers, and a non-existent Curt Schilling.

I think he will get it....but I think the MVP award is sometimes bogus...usually best stats...

But the award is, Most VALUABLE Player...my question is: is the award for the most valuable to his TEAM or the LEAGUE???

I am like you...Rangers until they are out..(hopefully not by the All-Star break!)...

Then, it is ABBY...(any body but Yankees)...

I wonder if Rogers would have kept his downward slide, if he hadn't "gone off" on the cameraman in Arlington???

Don't be selfish - we need Major League Baseball in LA.

She's a jinx. Everything she touches turns to sh*t!

That explains why Bill's equipment is still intact.
