The Yankees lose the ALDS to the Angels 3 games to 2.
The Yankees have not won a thing since the World Series of October 2000 (days before Hillary was elected Senator from New York).
They lost the 2001 World Series to the Diamondback of Arizona and the 2003 World Series to the Marlins of Florida. Last year they didn't even make the World Series, losing in dramatic fashion to the then-cursed Boston Red Sox.
Maybe New Yorkers will wake up and throw her out of office...if they ever want to win a World Series again.
Let them scoff! Let them laugh! Let them discount every sign, every omen, every warning.
The gods shall not be moved.
I remember a couple years ago when the Yanks lost I tuned to WFAN/New York (I live in Boston but it comes in well at night) and a Mets fan started singing, to the tune of a well known
Democratic party anthem, "Happy Days are here again/
They are crying in their beer again/It is wait until next
year again..."
Heh heh heh.
"Everybody go out and vote, and vote Bush."--Curt Schilling on Good Morning America
More than that- if she's elected President, does the U.S. not win a single Olympic medal for 4 years?
I told a Yankee fan at work (I'm a Red Sox fan--we both hate Hillary, though) that if the Yanks won the WS this year, the Curse would mean that Hillary would be elected prez in '08.
LOL!
LOL I was just about to ask him the same question.
Scary possibilities sports-wise if she manages to win.
No curse----The Angels are just too good at killing Yankees.
Former Mass. governor Bill Weld (R), now running for NY Gov.,
seemed to be a Red Sox fan during his years here but recently he declared himself a Yankee fan.
"How long have you been a Yankee fan?", a reporter asked him.
Weld smiled and said, "A few days."
opportunistic politicians...
The Cubs curse started when the goat showed up.
The Yankees curse started when the old goat showed up with her Yankees hat!
Only if New Yorkers loathe Toronto with such a passion that The Evil Dr. Rove pales in comparison. Then? The gods shall act.
--One of the two Yankee outfielders who collided was
BUBBA Crosby. And the ball was hit by an Angel who shares
his last name with Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Chappaquiddick).
I know, not a direct link, but still...
--Where are Angels headed next? To her home state, Illinois.
A definate case of "addition by subtraction."
$250 Million doesn't buy what it use to.
Ah, you laugh, but it's true. In the deep cosmos the stars glare mercilessly on the dark chasms that hide the Old Ones, the Elder Gods, hideous, misshapen creatures whose very name is terror to a thousand trembling races. From this, the charnal house of galaxies, arose a rippling blackness that occluded even the supernovae that tried to scream a warning, and upon this poor unfortunate lump of rock it descended, coalescing into a tentacled madness that hid its twisted form in the guise of She Who Must Not Be Named, whose very mention derails empires, sinks ships, causes untold human agony and causes baseball teams to choke like Mama Cass with a chicken-bone sandwich...
