We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The death toll from the Pakistan earthquake is approaching 20,000.
Saddam's trial is scheduled to start next week.
And gold has hit an 18-year high.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Count on it.
How was your long weekend?
You starting a live thread for the game?
What?? and jinx my boize??
No dagnnammit way.
Hi sweetie....R and I made a trip to wallymart today looking at babystuff.
the weekend was spent just trying to kick the chest crud..
I dread going back tomorrow.
:-( crud.
Hi all: I came home to find the new glass is in place now in the south end of the entry!!! It looks SO good! The new cement flooring is curing so Charlie can't go outside and his nose is out of joint.....but, it is also raining. So I told him to just deal with it! I did promise to build the critters a fire in a little while and that seemed to make them happy. Trust me, they know when I open the stove door, good things are about to happen.
I asked Paul when I could start painting the front of the house and the new wood. He said for me to PLEASE wait until he gets the deck finished and then paint. "What is your schedule to get the deck finished?" said I :-) "By the end of next week" said Paul. I would really like to paint this coming weekend but, I will wait....sigh :-(
My birthday week is going to be very good - busy and I like that. Over to Laurie's for dinner Wednesday night and then on Thursday, Molly Pitcher will be here!!! She and her son will be out here on the coast for lunch. I hope we have time for me to give them a tour of the Care Center and Clinic and they can meet Miss Lily too!
I have been watching some fishermen for the past hour but I think they have decided it is raining just hard enough to chase them off the river. I LOVE rainy days this time of year ..... of course, I will whine about it later :-)
Time to build a fire....love and hugs, B
You know, baby things have changed in 19 years...
They now sell these strollers that the removable car seat/baby carrier on them.
They are nice, but not economical, IMHO.
I think I will try to figure a way to let her get the stroller combot but buy her a regular car seat for when the baby outgrows the other one.
IG - just heard a house blew up in Iowa. My first thought was that your hubby brought home one of those new farm toys, but now realize the house blew up in Dixon, not in your town.
Thanks bev.
And an AP story about the impacts on Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the Pakistani-based terrorist group in which the "Virginia jihad network" and several Maryland men were allegedly involved: "Meanwhile, scores of activists from an Islamist charity linked to a banned Pakistani militant organization died in the devastating earthquake. A spokesman for Jamat-ud-Dawa, a group drawn from the ranks of Lashkar, said the charitys mosques, hospitals, schools and seminaries were obliterated in Saturdays earthquake."

You gals have fun when you get together; I'm wishing more of us were close by and could do that.
Neets - hope you enjoyed your day off and go Yanks!
See you all in the morning.
You find the best stuff on blogs! Now we'll have some folks on the left, who seemingly support the jihadists, saying that Bush's global warming neglect has killed terrorists and demand an investigation. LOL
He: "Come in the office" a statement I dread. For obvious reasons...
Me: "OK."
Him: [In office] Whistling, looking about, saying zilch [common for him, trying to increase the stress factor] Note: I was about to deploy my infamous [and well-known] thousand-yard-stare that comes about from taking *S* [and I DON'T mean SNOW] for no good reason!
Him [again] [Holding out pick ticket for FMX shipment--"You could pull this shipment...if you want to...]
Me: Deadpan monotone: "All right."
As am aside, the guy he had doing my job didn't show up this morning, or this afternoon, and he said to me he was going to do exactly that last Friday--not show up, in protest--too much work for what they pay, for his taste... Actually, it's too much work AND stress, period--no matter the pay grade...
Working production is ZERO stress, doing the shipping is the exact opposite, HIGH stress stuff, gotta pay attention to EVERY detail. My bud Dave was here, just left as a matter of fact, he commented to me that he thought the boss was such a megalomaniac that he would never put me back in shipping because it would mean he made a MAJOR mistake moving me to production. Dave came back from a 'field trip' [Checking labels on freight we sent the customer, it happens all the time, everywhere], and when Dave walked in I was piloting the HI-LO [another name for forktruck] and he said he couldn't believe his eyes. [That's how nasty-bad our boss is...]
Oh boy. You had quite a day! You are treasured.
Thank you, my dear, for your support, it means so much in this EXTREMELY trying time. And that goes for EVERYBODY here! THANK YOU!!!
You're cracking me up. Off to watch the game!
[Tagline comma surplus corrected!]
You and Molly are getting together?? Marvelous, please give Molly a BIG HUG from me Bev!
That would be the Yankees Vs the Angels.
;-)
