I got attached to my patients. However, most of the ones that I lost were older or terminally ill. However, there was no reason that 32 year old woman should have died!! Anyway, I stayed with the ones who were dying until the end. I wish I had just changed hospitals. I loved nursing. I did not love working for 11 years for a property and casualty insurance company. Ugh!

I don't hate baseball. It just doesn't interest me anymore. My focus is on other things. I kid, I kid.

When I was in law school, I could go for weeks with just 5 hours of sleep at night or less (and pretty much all my awake time was spent studying or in class). I can't go on that little sleep anymore. I have to have at least 6 hours.

I love rock. Not hard rock, though. I hate heavy metal and rap. My favorite group is Train.
Also, I like action movies.
Not your typical granny, huh?

I can't go on that little sleep anymore. I have to have at least 6 hours. I'm the same way. In college, I could do with very little sleep and could pull all-nighters with no problems. Now, I have to struggle to stay up past 11.
You have a law degree? You do know that makes men swoon, don't you?

hi...I dont sleep much and just found this thread. I too am a young widow, and agree, adjusting to not being part of a couple is hard. I also only feel like i can really relate to others who have lost a spouse. Thanks for keeping me company tonight
To: pcottraux
Yep. I don't know how I am going to get up for church in the morning. If I don't show up, I will get a note from my minister.

You have a law degree? You do know that makes men swoon, don't you? Actually, I've been told that it makes me less desirable.

It counts very much that your patients think that you are cool. I have had few dates because I live in a very small rural community. Everyone says I should date, but no one knows of anyone who is single and not young enough to be my son or old enough to be my father!

Actually, I've been told that it makes me less desirable. Less desirable to the wrong type of guy, maybe.

How could she not notice you after all of that?? Good grief!
Now get a grip. THEY are more afraid of you than you are of them. Remember that.

How could she not notice you after all of that?? Good grief! I was thinking the same thing. A precautionary call to 911 would be in order.

You are very welcome. FReep mail me anytime you want to talk. Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone who has been through the same thing as you have. I know that my friends who still are married don't understand how I feel.

Oooh, pressure's on. We haven't been there long enough to get ominous notes for absence.
Actually, my favorite music is movie soundtracks. About anything popular, I don't like for some reason or another.
Well...gotta' go. Need to take the dog out before I go to bed. He's giving me that look.
Take care, Goodgirl. See you either tomorrow or next weekend. Or sometime in-between.

Well, this is an older interim pastor. He knew my late husband. After my husband died, I quit going to church for a long time. I was really angry.
