Dang, just found my ping for this thread a night late. Goodgirl, we are about the same age. Glad to meet you. My daughter's in for the weekend, so will try to check back in a while -- SHE has a date.

Well, sit back, relax and have some fun!

More details on my philosophy:

The foundational ingrediants for a successful relationship are:
Mutual Trust, Mutual Respect, Similar Values, & a True Friendship.
Most people will list:
Common Interests, Good Communication, & Good Sex.
The problem with the 2nd list is that those things change throughout life and the relationship, and cannot provide a foundation. (Foundations are stable, and don't change.)
It does NOT mean that the 2nd list isn't important!

Is there an appointed time? I posted on the very first Single's Thread, and I guess I've been busy on Friday/Saturday night since then. I don't know what in the heck I was doing that was more interesting than this though.

Larry.....

I guess it's okay to have a "list"..... I've just found it surprising that some things I felt I couldn't deal with a couple years ago....don't seem as important now.

Howdy...I'm here now.

Roommate and I are just back from seeing Serenity for the second time...wanted to see it again after getting to know the characters a bit.

It's very good, but there are a (very) few references I wish had been left out.

Guess I'm a bit of a prude. ;-) And there aren't many. It's pretty clean as PG-13 movies go.

And it's an interesting story with interesting characters (and cute ones...) and a lot of funny lines. And definitely not a liberal kinda plot.

Oh, I see! Yes, please be productive. I thought I was going to be called away on a hospital visit about two hours away right after I sent the ping, but she was already discharged.

Sometimes, duty calls.

It's good to be a prude. I'm like you, there's not much I'd want to see right now. "Serenity" and "Just Like Heaven" are somewhat appealing.

I haven't heard enough about "Just Like Heaven" to know if I'd wanna see it. I really enjoyed "Napoleon Dynamite" (yes, I realize it was stupid...that was kinda the point!), and it has that guy in it...so I'm tempted.

I'll wait until someone I trust has seen it, though, so I can get an opinion before I go.

Serenity has the trailer to Narnia before the movie. That we'll definitely be going to. Looks like it's really beautifully done.

Heh...we're also planning to go to Wallace and Grommit. That's *sort* of a kid movie...but I think it'll be a lot of fun. My family really enjoyed the original shorts.
