But I did get a Remignton 11-87 from there. A semi-auto shotgun.

Do you like it? Is it a 12 gauge? I've got a .410, 16 and 20 gauge. I'm looking for a 12 gauge semi-auto.

"At least they have rifles and shotguns."

Yeah, so expensive you'd need to take out a loan to buy one.

LOL! Yeah, I know. I can't believe they want to wear that stuff. Oh, well. I am more into the classic styles. I always was. Maybe that is why I was such a geek. :(

Are you all hunting with those things, or just collecting? As I drove in my driveway tonight there was a 4 or 6 point buck just standing there eating grass. Aren't they pretty?

I'm in trouble, everyone. The dog acted like he wanted to get up on Mom's bed a minute ago. (I live in the downstairs pad, parents live upstairs). I picked him up to try to help him, but he struggled, and before I knew it, the lovely bottom post was all scratched up. OUch! Parents are angry. I thought this stuff was going to stop happening...you know, ten years ago. *Sigh* I need a place of my own.

I've already bugged Paul about this...but a bunch of us semi-amateur authors in the Hobbit Hole have done NaNoWriMo for a number of years now. It's a bit silly, but fun...and a good way to play with new ideas.

I dunno what I'm going to write about this year. Last year, not as a NaNo project, I wrote a book for my little sis, who's mentally probably around ten or twelve (she's actually about fifteen). Did the self-publishing thing so I could have it bound for her for Christmas...it was only ten bucks or so for a paperback with pictures. I'm thinking of making that my NaNoWriMo project, IF I can think of a plot.

I definitely used to wear it. Looking at old pictures of myself gives me the horrors! Long, straight, ironed hair parted straight down the middle, black eyeliner, shoulder scraper earrings, bell bottoms, etc. I was one of the sheep, but like you, I'm more of a classic dresser now. Maybe that's why I'm single? You were a geek? I didn't have a serious thought in my flighty little head back then.

Boring...I hunt the elusive paper targets and empty milk jugs.

Those milk jugs are cunning, devious critters...

I was thinking of a side-project specifically for NaNo. Since my current one is still a work-in-progress. But I am completely stumped lol.

How old are you again? My kids all came home to live for a while after college, after marriage, etc., bringing their pets, spouses, and children. Now, since my husband died, it is just the two dogs and two cats and me. Kind of lonesome. :(

I took Harm (my 4 year old Malamute/Husky/Lab cross) out to dinner at Arby's drive thru. He was so upset when we stopped at the gas station first. $48.00 plus change to fill up!!!!!

Now they know us at Arby's. LOL! We go out to eat often. I get the salad, he gets the roast beef sandwiches.

Yeah, it's supposed to be something new. But doesn't have to be anything serious...it's just a challenge.

Two out of three of my past efforts should really be burned for the safety of anyone who might happen to start reading. The other...well, it's really bad, but I plan to go on a salvage mission someday to rescue a few of the characters and ideas.

Thanks. I think I am kind of cool now. At least that is what my 17 year old nephew says when he is being nice. ;) Too bad that it is 38 years too late! :( (I am 56, not 86.)

Personally I think you should save all of them. Some of my failures have led to really good ideas for my current project.

LOL! I have a big dog for that. He stands between me and anyone he doesn't know. I pity the fool who tries to hurt me! LOL!
