I'll tell ya, as a Mets fan every time we play the crew in Milwaukee, I think "I gotta see a game there!" Cool stadium, minor league feel (that's a good thing) and it looks like lots of fun. And the Brewers are just a few players from contention. Get it together Brew Crew!

The Red Sox should have started Schilling tonight. Poor managing by Francona in that Schilling did not pitch any during the entire series.

He cut it by $4 million while the Evil Empire increased theirs by a good $15 Million. Paying Schilling and not having Pedro worked out real good! How many innings did the Mets get out of him?

Please do not forget that it was SCHILLING along with TIMLIN and WAKEFIELD who were responsible for that WORLD SERIES in 2004. None of these guys would have ever voted for those two. Some of us (very precious few) in MASS are level headed.

Oh I don't know about that... National announcers always ride whatever horse is in the lead. And frankly the Sox didn't exactly give them much to say that was positive.

If there's one silver lining out of all of this though, I've learned that there is actually somebody out there who is WORSE than Joe Morgan in the booth. PLEASE give us back D.O. and RemDawg...

No. Forgot that there might have been other forces at work for them to lose the game.

The Yankees play by different rules than every other team in baseball. Trade for Kevin Brown not work out? Sign Contreras for big money and have him fail? Sign Vasquez for big money and have him fail? No problem, keep paying or subsidizing their contracts and sign Wright, Pavano and Johnson for almost $30 million more.

keep in mind that red sox fans include all of New england not just MA. This includes the not so pinko New Hampshire.

Yeah but it also includes Vermont which cancels out NH.

schilling got lit up in his last start against Chicago...

when the bottom of your line up gives you 2 hits the entire series you are screwed. When your #1 and 2 hitters don't get on base you are screwed.

Take away 2 starting inside LBs, the strong safety and your starting corners, yeah, I could see how that happens.

Hey, I'm not taking sick pleasure in that, just stating a fact. I really miss Ted Bruschi. That guy is football old school..class, humility and smash-mouth every Sunday. I hope he returns next year.

Schilling was under contract. Plus, he gave up his ankle so they could win the Series. Pedro's shoulder is too much of a gamble. The labrum is partially torn and likely to cave in the next few years.

The Sox signed guys to incentive contracts and fat boy Wells made all of his. He and Clement were 28-13 between them in the regular season. Too bad Clement got punch drunk after that head shot.

Pedro was broken down by year end, again. He shut it down his last 2 starts.

Exactly right. You can't win in the post-season with only two consistent hitters in the lineup. Why Rent-a-wreck wasn't dropped into the 9-hole (and Graffanino brought up to #2), I can't explain. Even then, it wouldn't have been enough.

Yes there is, it's called the luxury tax and revenue sharing. Hell, Selig's team used to pocket the wealth redistribution and keep the payroll down.

Yankees revenue sharing was $40-50 million last year. The Red Sox paid over $20 million to the smaller market teams.
