I don't know if this is simply an urban legend, but I recall a story about a chili cook-off years ago in Texas.
The contestant who won was ordered to give the judges his recipe.
It was open two cans of Hormel Chili, heat and serve.

Wish I'd known earlier! I could use $25,000. I took Grandma Lee's chili and made it better. My husband claims my chili is the best he's ever tasted! Yes, I realize he could just be a sweet man, however, my taste buds work, too. It's darn good chili!!! :o) Making a pot this weekend because it finally got cold enough. Mmmmmm.....
