Do you encrypt your wireless signal & take other security precautions?
Not so much of an issue when your closest neighbor's a mile away, but absolutely imperative in high-population-density Silicon Valley.
In my backyard alone I can pick up/access no fewer than three unsecured networks.

I had a guy come to the house in June and set the whole thing up - we use Avast - I know next to nothing about the system - only that I purchased the Linksys system and he installed it all.........haven't have any problems so far and yes, he said it was safe

The one I'm getting has WEP. It should also have a more secure encryption called WPA (with TKIP? Make sure the router Firmware is current).
Neither one is uncrackable, but both are better than nothing.
