Tell her he has no teeth to bite and is 3 legged so he would fall down if he tried to kick and that he will lay down for her to get on. Tell her I made a reservation in her name for "Gimpy" Let her "walker" that awhile.
I know. She said it's her age that does it. I has to be funny to see the two of them scooting through the store together.
I visited a lady who had horses and we went out to look at them. right away one of her horses was laying on the ground with the pole holding up the shelter at his belly. He was just laying there waiting for somebody to help him. I got a halter rope and put it around his back legs, and she got a rope and put it around his front legs and we just pulled him over. Nothing to it.
I can see that. This one was in a 12x12 stall though and a slight anxious:')
Just tie him to her walker and see how well she gets up and moves.
What a though. lol
I guess you would have to calm him first before you put the rope around his legs. Or make sure that the rope was really loose so he doesn't entangle himself in it.
They can get into some of the darndest messes can't they? A couple of weeks ago my mare was tied up in the barn. She wiggled around and pulled a step stool to her and was kicking it with her front foot kind of playfully. Before I could take it away she got her foot in the hole. She just picked it up and shook it off and I moved it. I didn't know it was any big deal but my trainer said that some horses would have paniced and sat back and she did good. I'm constantly having to watch her though. She's worse than a toddler.
If there is a way for a horse to get into trouble, they will do it. They don't even need anything in their stall to get hurt. They just find a way LOL. But God Bless horses!!!
and Texas:')
LOL!!! Yes, God bless horses AND Texas!
I guess I'm gonna drive. Eddie and Josh are giving me a hard time about the bus. I thought I was never going to get back last month but It will just be me and my radio so I guess it won't be so bad.
Supposed to be cheap to fly into Austin or Killeen.
Nope. I can't make the direct flight. 200 dollars for a 5 hour trip. I would have to go to Houston. I can get to Austin faster driving. Sad huh?
This past weekend, a 6 yo Missouri Fox Trotter was stolen out of the barn of a local resident. Last night on the news, he was returned to the owners. They are still investigating a possible thief ring. There was not any more details online. They were lucky to get the horse back.
Morning.
She's very lucky indeed! No questions asked, I'd say, but I'd sure have questions!
Good morning.... I have to get out of here early this morning, I'll be out all day today and tomorrow at a conference in Seattle. Ugh Seattle wears me out. Too much pavement, too many people.
The darnedest one I ever heard was a friend of mine's gelding pony who was in his stall, which was back to back with the stall of her stallion. The wall between them was almost solid, but he managed to find a crack and stick his tongue through it (don't ask me why, horses don't need reasons). Well, the stallion apparently grabbed it and bit it off. I about died when she told me! She has a full time horse business, with lessons and training, and is home all the time but this apparently happened is some short amount of time that she was away from the barn. She came back and found him in his stall with blood all over but couldn't find any visible wounds. I don't know what made her think to look in his mouth but that's when she found that there was only about half a tongue in there and she found the other half in the stallion's stall. He healed up just fine and manages to eat ok but he can't manage hay, just pelleted food. Needless to say she patched up all the cracks in the walls between the stallions stall and all the others, but who would've thought that a horse would even THINK of sticking his tongue through a crack. I think they could hurt themselves in a padded stall!
Hahaha!!! LOLOL! That is hilarious!
Now I think I've heard everything. That is nothing short of amazing.
