The full theatrical trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is now available at The Official Harry Potter Website and other download sites.
Ummmmm, Wormtail cuts off his hand?
Must not have been too bad cause I don't even remember that part. Oh well, I'll still be in line opening day with my kids.
Me too!
The hand was part of the potion he-who-must-not-be-named needed to be reconstituted.
Wormtail got a silver replacement hand in reward.
Yes, not to give too many spoilers, but things are also done to Harry and to innocent "muggles" (non-magical humans) that
are violent--and in the end someone is murdered right in front of Harry--as a retired teacher of young children (18+ years
experience) I know that these scenes will probably scare the majority of little ones 5 and younger, yet it never fails that there are lots of kids in that age range at the book and movie openings. YMMV.
Oh man, I just saw the trailer....this looks good. I can't wait.
Doing good, thanks. I have applied for a job with the library as a children's librarian. It is part-time, so I am hoping I will be hired. It will enable me to go back to school to work on my master's. Things have been busy around here as well.
Thanks for the ping! Mr. sneakers and I will be there too!
Thanks for the Ping! Hopefully they'll be opening it here (in Stockholm) on the 19th too.
I would not recommend it for the little ones either. I read a while back on ain't it cool news.com that in the graveyard scene Voldemort is pretty gruesome looking. Per the report some of the smaller kids (8 and under) actually screamed when they saw him during the test screening- and all his special effects weren't even completed yet!
Thanks for the ping.
I just saw the trailer yesterday in the theater, and it looks fabulous. Although the mother in me wants to take Ron to the barbershop to get a haircut, for heaven's sake ... !! ;)
Was the movie fun? I hardly ever go to theatres, but I'm thinking of making this one.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!
It's worth the time to go see Goblet of Fire!!!!
It is a little darker because of the maturing of the characters, but it was excellent!!!! I am going to see it again over the Thanksgiving weekend with my sister when she comes down for Thanksgiving.
The special effects were great but they left out too many things that are critical to the next movie/book. The movie was choppy and should have been at least an hour longer or made into two movies.
That being said, I will still see it again and buy the DVD - it's just that of the four, I think it's the poorest written.
