This looks pretty good.
The-Leaky-Cauldron.org also reports that they are casting some new characters needed for The Order of the Phoenix. (Luna Lovegood, Dolores Umbridge)

The book was pretty good, and the previews look great, BUT...
it's definitely *not* a movie kids should see!! Lots of violence and gore--it always amazes me when a book or movie comes out and these little 4-5 year olds are in attendance!

I'll be right where you are - and I'll probably take my kid out of school too - I'm a bad mom taking him out of school for a movie, but oh well.

A one-time ping to folks that posted on the previous Harry Potter thread.
Does anyone one know who is maintaining the HP ping list?

Oh that brings back bad memorys...when I went to see Return of the King some 9 year old kept laughing out loud whenever some one would die. I mean LOUD and annoying.

My ten year-old daughter will be there with my wife and I. She loves the books, she'll finish GOF by then.
She'll be 13 or 13 by the time Half-Blood Prince comes out, which is just about the time I'll let her read it. The themes are becoming more mature as the characters age.

And yes I'm still a big kid!!Me too. Definitely. And, to go one better, I am eagerly awaiting the release of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and I don't know if I will be able to resist ... I might go on the first night in costume.

Mr. rK and I went to see Corpse Bride a couple weeks ago (it was just okay, not as good as Nightmare Before Christmas) and they have the full trailer on the big screen. Even my husband said, "That looks so cool!" He's not a reader, but liked the movies.
Then on the way home he kept talking about the trailer. I figured that would be a good time to let him know he needs to take off November 18 to escort me to GOF. I got no arguments. ;-)

Thanks for the ping, RK -- the trailer looks good. I just hope the movie is a whole bunch better than PoA.
