I was wondering how long it would take until the country was knocked back into some sort of reality.

At first I thought this was an article about the man who starved his wife to death in the absence of a written legal document.

Is it even legal for him to receive the insurance money, since he KILLED her and the baby???? How stupid is this?

Excuse me? Her murderer can collect her life insurance? In what universe? Have we become this insane?

A murderer shouldn't be allowed to profit from his crime. If the judge has any smarts, he will see to it that Laci's Mom gets the money.

He's just bored in prison with nothing to do.
I can't imagine Calif. doesn't have the same law as Georgia and every other state I've dealt with -- the murderer can't get life insurance proceeds.
(Duh! Talk about a motive!)

I am sure Scott Peterson needs the money for his appeal. His mother will fight tooth and nail to get her "INNOCENT" son out of prison, but has no money left. If press reports are correct, his defense was well over a million dollars.
I hope and pray for Lacys' mom to win this one too.
