Probably so. If it turns out that the Speedway was at fault then the family should be granted more than $75K. That seems low even for a starting figure.
I don't think she needs to be hurt any more by slander from those of us that don't know the true details or facts.
The press, as we all know, is most often incorrect. This poor family has suffered a huge loss and tradegy. Losing a husband and father of your children is the hardest thing ever and there are no words to describe the pain. She is doing TAR to work through that and help re-build her life and self worth/esteem. Good luck to her and her family! : )
That is probably the amount she is asking in compensatory damages. Punitive damages is where the lawyer will try for his fees. This is a case I would love to hear all the facts to because I am pulling a John Kerry. Flipping from one side to the next. :) I need to go get a shower! :)
I agree! But it was such an odd group that I couldn't help but watch :) Wasn't there a screaming pro-wrestlering couple in that group? And that man-child they called "Hellboy"--the guy with hair-horns growing out of his head? What a freakshow.
Didja know that those two are trying to get their own show now? Spare us!

Brain dead models also. Laurie and Bolo(the wrestlers) weren't exactly winners also. They got eliminated a couple of nights ago and usually when a team gets eliminated they usually are thankful for being part of the race and getting to see the different places, all that Laurie did was whine and blamed their loss on Bolo.
Bunch of ungreatful whiners.
I remember that. They were kind of fun to watch during the race though--they were like fire and gasoline :)
Remember when somebody accused Bolo of using steroids. Bolo said "We don't use steroids". Yeah right! :)

Flo- one of the most undeserving whiner winners. In the top 5 biggest whiners ever on The Amazing Race.
That was from season 3 and when she had that nervous breakdown in Vietnam, I thought it was contrived. I was rooting for the older couple in that season.
Her partner was saint. There is always someone to hate.
I think the youngest kid is from the The Black Family. It is a tough race. They surely racheted it down somewhat since this includes kids.
There has been more than one racer that has approached the brink of meltdown during the Race.
Flo seemed to be on the point of breakdown almost during the whole race ;-)
