Yes love...
offffff course ;)
Also thank you for taking the time and work to start the thread.
I sure hope they didn't. In the articles I was able to find, I didn't see any mention of the family being at the Speedway that day, but I suspect his wife was there ...
My favorite team to win from the descriptions would be the Aiello's
Mine too! I also like the Paolas--I don't know how long they'll stay (mom doesn't look like she can run very fast), but they should provide some comic relief :)
I missed something. What lawsuit?
HELP! We have been watching the race on channel 116 GAME(dish network) and I have just checked to make sure of the time......normally 9pm eastern and it is saying "dog eat dog" is on! Is it an error? Is it on a different channel? Can Anybody help? : )
Well yes and no. Roy Weaver was a track crew supervisor and he was clearing debris from the track when he was struck. He was doing his job. Whether or not he was doing it at the appropriate time is the question. (Apparently the race officials didn't call a caution before he stepped on the track--or if they did then the drivers didn't get the message.)
Also, Linda Weaver is only suing for $75,000--a very conservative amount considering that Roy Weaver was the sole breadwinner for their family.
Glad to do it :)
They maybe prempting tonights TAR on GSN so as not to compete with Season 8's premiere.
See if it is on at midnight EDT. That's when GSN usually runs TAR again.
If there was debris on the track then the drivers should've been told to slow down. There was obviously a lack of communication somewhere that day.
That maybe just for medical expenses. The lawyer is going to make sure to ask for an astronomical amount in pain and suffering, so he/she can skim off the 40% contingency fee.
I think the Bransens will be the first family to be eliminated. (They've been nearly invisible in the TAR promos--the Rogers family too.)
From their bios...I like the Aiello and Linz families....but we shall see....LOL
That's the "Jonathan & VictoriAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" season right? :) Yeah, I agree. And there were too many "models" in that crop as well.
Read the bio on the Weaver family. The mom is widowed, her husband was killed in a horrible accident. Terrible as it was, I don't believe there should be a lawsuit. It would have been impossible for them to stop the race. Once those cars reach those speeds putting the breaks on quickly would only cause accidents and more injuries.
From a fellow TAR host I take that as a high compliment--thank you :)
Oh, I didn't hear the amount. Yes that is a very low sum per the usual suit. Of course the jury can decide to award more depending on the facts of the case.
I didn't even watch that season. Watched the first show and found something else. That group was the most self-centered bunch I had ever seen. Blah.
I don't know about the Linz family--they've been invisible in the ads, compared to the Aiellos and the Godlewskis.
Okay...just to be clear to you guys..it says the following:
"unspecified amount of damages in excess of $75,000.
It doesn't say $75,000. She could very well be really going for 1/2 million or more. She probably has a lawyer working on contigency. $75 grand wouldn't net her much for the loss of life.
