Now that the motorcycle riding season is beginning to wind down in some parts of the country, here's an opportunity to show off your ride!
Yes indeed, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, RUBS and 1%ers, Ricers and Hogs (and joesixpack1), it's time for the First Annual
Whatchoo ridin'? SHOW IT OFF HERE!
Because honestly, nobody's gonna give a damn any other time of the year.
I'm not sure. I stole that pic back in 2001 from what I believed was a Daytona Bikeweek expo and it's been sitting on my Hard drive since.
I would venture a guess and say there are no alarms. The ignition looks like it's built into the seat plate so, If you can sit on it and ride it off into the sunset and survive, you've earned it! :-)

I have a friend who has the 650 Vstrom too - he loves it.
I "tried on" the DL650 last time I saw one in the showroom. It was just a little too tall for me to completely flat foot (I'm a big girl, 5'10" with a 34" inseam). With boots on I might be able to do it, I had flat street shoes on.
I like it, but it's got a lot of plastic on it. I'd be terrified I'd drop it in a parking lot and cause thousands worth of damage to it.
Then again, with the battering I take on the GS on a windy day, a windscreen would be real nice...

I'm really happy w/ the bike, but it is very tall. After the seat mods I've made can't quite flatfoot it anymore either. I'm 6'2" and long legged.

Suzuki GS or Beemer R-GS?
Suzuki GS500E, vintage 1993. It's my first bike, got it last year. It's a great starter bike, enough power but not a lot of snap so no accidental wheelies, etc.
I've started ogling possible trade-ups from it but I'm nowheres near ready yet. The VStrom and the SV are 2 on my list.

Here's VetvetDoug on his ride.
Wow! vet you look good. Kid's okay too ;-)
OK! I found you! Nice bike, darling little girl and cute guy. That's you! :)
Nice ride! Cute kid, too, but I'd smack my wife if'n I were you. That kid's WAY too cute to be yours! (:-Þ)
Genetics is funny, her mother was a beautiful woman. I am glad she took more after her.
A simple little ride that gives me GREAT pleasure - and quality time on trips to places like; Key West, Marco Island, Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Lanconia, Sturgis, Four Corners, Laughlin, Hollister, and Alaska.
oops...Lanconia should read Laconia
