I've never heard him speak without a script but 'A History of Violence' was great.

Amazing, isn't it, how he makes a great movie about standing up to evil, and in real life he is an appeaser.

Well, another movie person I will henceforth ignore.
The only reason I can watch The Lord of the Rings is that he really didn't have that big a part.

I'm surprised he didn't go to the UN to stop Saron.

I'm a huge LOTR fan (the book). The movie was reasonably good. The chief weakness of the movie, IMO, was the characterization of Aragorn (Viggo M.). In the movie, he is full of doubts, reluctant to fulfill his destiny, and not sure he wants to marry the most beautiful woman in the world.
I can understand why Viggo was dying to play the part.

Aragon wasn't a big part?!

Aleksander (my three year old son) stop hitting those keys. Let me concentrate.

During the promotion of one of the "Lord of the Rings" triologies, around the time of the Iraq War, he showed up at a press conference in Tokyo wearing a "No blood for oil." He commented that he didn't like some people making analogies between both his LoR character and the US fighting evil in the world.
Another Hollywad Lefty displaying his geopolitical genius.

He's a hero in Dummyland.

I'm surprised he didn't go to the UN to stop Sauron. That's because the UN is in Mordor. "Not with 10,000 men could you do this."
To: tdice7
Wasn't he in a horror movie called Ghostbusters?

These Hollywood commies are laughing all the way to the bank. Vigo Mortensen's latest is very violent. The liberal movie reviewers love the movie.
