I don't know why folks consider him a bust. It's kind of hard to prove yourself as a quarterback when you're constantly running for your life. No, I like Carr! The man needs a line!

I remember Troy Aikman getting killed just about every week early in his career. It probably shortened his career.

I didn't even realize it's been a year. Thanks.
To: mainepatsfan
No doubt it shortened his career. Just looking over some Qb's Culpepper has already been sacked 12 times this year so far.

That division has dropped below the NFC west as the worst in the league.
To: Echo Talon
Well you don't expect Mike Martz to pound the football do you?
To: mainepatsfan
That division has dropped below the NFC west as the worst in the league. All you need to know is that the Detroit Lions lead the division.

I'd love to see what Belichick could do with a healthy team. I don't think he would do as well. I think the mentality of the Patriots system is to rally around adversity and play with a "us against the world" type mentality. It's pretty much the opposite of the mentality of 80s and 90s, San Francisco teams.
I don't think the Pats would do as well without the adversity to rally around.
The Pats seem to have lots of injuries to key players but I think it is just that they get more notoriety due to the creative ways that the Pats fill the roster spots.
I would like to see the stats comparing players lost to injury. It is likely that the Patriots don't have significantly more injuries than any other team. For example, the Eagles have had tons of injuries, especially to the defense, over the last few years but never missed a beat.

That kind of says it all.

I think they rally well but I still think they'd have won the past two Super Bowls if they'd been healthier.

He'd be nuts not to. Then again he barely gave Faulk the ball against the Pats in the SB a few years ago so who knows.
To: dfwgator
Chicago will be on top next week because they have a bye... Detroit will lose, Queens will lose and GB will lose...

That Jackson is a big bruiser! Kind of reminds me a little bit of Eric Dickerson.

I think he's a bit stronger than Dickerson and maybe not quite as fast.
