I just got home. They don't make it easy but they got the job done.
He's like a dominant closer in baseball. When comes in the game is over.
The way I see this is that we are right where we should be: 2-1. The 1 was supposed to be today-- going to Pitt against a very good team. Instead we lost last week. Same result. We are right on track.
Indy needs a loss, though. They have a nice sched and could be undefeated when they meet us.
Yep, he's the NFL's Mo.
They should play "Enter the Sandman" for Adam.
Huge win...in Pitt. Indy is going to be better this year. How many injuries today? I hope Rodney is OK, that did not look good.
It's much better to lose to Carolina. An NFC loss won't hurt us in terms of tie breakers. All we have to do is beat Indy and finish with the same record as they do. Even if the do get home field the Pats can still beat them in their dome.
You could hear the Steeler fans hush as he walked onto the field. Their only hope was for a bad snap or a blocked kick. Even if that did happen Adam would probably pick the ball up and hit Troy Brown for a touchdown.
Don't worry about Indy. You know it's a tradition for the Patriots to suffer injuries that would wreck the season of most teams while they overcome them to win another championship.
My brother was at the last game of the 2002 season when he kicked the game winning field goal against Miami. He said some Dolphin fan sitting behind him wanted the Dolphins to call a timeout to "ice" him. Yeah right.
The scary thing is we played like crap and the Pats still won. Belichick will be putting the players through hell again this week.
It'll be something to see this team when they're actually playing well. They're still adjusting to life without Charlie.
I wouldnt worry about Indy as much as I would worry about meeting Pit again. Indy just cant win when it counts. Thats just my opinion..
My thoughts exactly. Pittsburgh is mentally tougher.
Would Pittsburgh be able to win on the road after losing a journeyman on the Defense, and a leader on the O-line?
This game was Belichick at his best. Patching the holes with what ya have at hand.
I meant they were mentally tougher than Indy.
Maybe even with the horseshoe-heads in that department.
Anytime Dallas beats the 'Niners is a good time in Big D. I'll take that any day of the week. This would have been a sure loss if Vinnie Interseptaverdie had been at the helm. As for next week, the Raiders are 0-2 but will look like world beaters because the Cowboys will be on the other side of the bay.
My Cowboys three games have been decided by a total of eight points this season. Those were some great games, but I want last week back.
Now, I hope Randy Moss gets ill sometime this week.:)
