Juat another day in Taipei There is a Chinese expression about talking to a powerful person and flattering them that roughly translate into "your hold their 'testicles and tickling them.'
The abreviation for the Chinese words are "LP" or to Lo Pa (or something like that). Taiwanese politicians like to accuse each other of doing a 'Lo Pa' or an 'LP' to the USA or Mainland China when they are playing their devious political games. Its a pretty common phrase heard on the floor of the Chinese legislature.
In this photo, a contingent from the group opposed to the US-Taiwan Arms Package is accusing the group in favour of it of doing an LP to the USA.
Pretty funny I thought.

I have to say, though, the guy is holding some pretty big balls with American flags on them.

These people I assume are KMT supporters who couldn't wait for the U.S. to approve of the same weapons package when they were in power.
