Scientists also believe that Helen Thomas had a summer home there when the settlement was starting out.
The LDS genealogical library has ancestory lines back to Adam and Eve. A quick check should tell us the carver's name.
Not joking. I was there the day that info came in and the librarians were laughing themselves silly.
Love that little reference to "BCE".Note to the Comrade who wrote this piece:It's "BC"...Before Christ.... not this "before current era" Marxist bilge!
The town is named "Frick", and not one you made that into a joke. I'm disappointed in the bunch of you.
;')
SOMEONE 'SPLAIN ME THIS WHOLE MARXIST THING.
What makes a Marxist? What are his traits?
Hmmmm. Interesting.
Short answer regarding this particular issue:
The reference to "BCE" rather than "BC" means that 1)the author accepts the birth of Christ as an important dividing line in the tracking of time, and 2)he does not accept the importance of Christ Himself and, thus, refuses to use the standard reference "Before Christ".
This is being done more and more frequently by western "progressives" who are aghast at the fact that anyone would utter the word "Christ" under any circumstances.
I've run across a few genealogy researchers claiming that nonsense.
Tends to cast serious doubt on the credibility of the rest of their data.
No it means the author accepts that system as currently understood by most westerners.
The author could have used any of several systems, such as 452 BBE, 2776 AM.
Neat ! Bet if they keep looking they will find even older dwelling places.
Exactly !!!!
