I was suprised by this because IBM has typically been more a suse organization than a RedHat one. Especially after RedHat yanked support for JFS. But they are two of my favorite companies..

When you look at countries like India, you see that there's a strong focus there on ramping up the technical education of its labor force Having lost a big project that was outsourced to India last year, it makes me feel real happy {sarcasm} that IBM is helping them "ramp up" it's labor force to take even more projects away from people like me. Thanks IBM! Not trying to play devil's advocate here, but can someone explain to me how IBM giving them all this help can be a good thing for us?

Could it be because Red Hat has a larger presence in those countries than SuSE?

I have a question for ya n3wbi3. Someone I know has a copy of red Hat 7 on CDs & wants to get rid of it. I'm thinking of giving it a try. Is RH7 still usable or would it be so hoplessly out of date that it's not worth the effort?

Thanks for reminding everyone what a sellout IBM and Red Hat are. You know the IBM PC division is now owned and operated by the Chinese government. Not to mention you already know the Chinese government gets a free copy of Linux from Red Hat they promptly rename "Red Flag" and resell without a dime back to the US too. Wonder how many other givaways are in effect with this latest deal.
