On a Baghdad street Friday, two 9-year-old boys stopped a U.S. Humvee and pointed to what they feared was a bomb disguised as a rice bag.
Pvt. Christopher ''Bucko'' Donnellan, a 19-year-old calvary scout with the Army's 3rd Infantry out of Fort Stewart, Ga., told the boys to get in the vehicle while he got out a robotic camera to take a closer look at what the military calls an IED or improvised explosive device.
As Donnellan cordoned off the area, an insurgent detonated the bomb, sending shrapnel flying. Donnellan was hit in the neck by a piece about the size of a penny.

Donnellan is eager to get back to active duty and continue with his mission in Iraq. ''He said he sees a lot of good over there,'' Hampton said.
I can't believe my super-libral local rag printed this heros words. LOL! Prayers sent to you and your family Pvt. Christopher Donnellan. God bless.
The kids deserve a soccer ball ort bike or soemthing for a reward. Bucko deserves more than the purple heart he hopefully qualifies for.
It's kind of sick that some scumbag peace activist and non-veterans seems to get equal status in life as our brave men & women who risk everything.

Gimme a break. Those kids (and their families,if they can withstand a background check) deserve immediate Green Cards.
And as for the soldier....if John "The Gigolo" Kerry can get a Purple Heart for wearing a band aid, this guy should get the Congressional Medal of Honor.
I agree and I'm sure they got something. Hearing about these 2 kids reassures the fact that there are good families over there that are on our side.
OK, Dave, one break, coming up!
