You mean he didn't "tie one for the Gipper" like Ara done?

Echo, I just got word:
Weis has been fired.
You're the new coach.
Time to get your...self out of the armchair.
Look, it was a heartbreaker (for those of us who love ND).
I was sort of hoping that 4th and 15 play early in the game would set the tone, for daring play, but there just wasn't enough of that stuff.
But I must say: it was one of the best college games I have seen in some time (and both my Junior ND daughter and my 12-year-old son were there).
How do you think this will affect ND in the rankings?
To: Echo Talon
Don't Mess with the BIG TEN. Last week was a fluke. We will kick your behind everytime. Goodbye ND.

No we were down 7pts and he went for it on 4th down.
DID NOT get the first down... Then the defense stopped them and after that we scored a TD to tie the game. IF Charlie would have kicked the FG, we then could have stopped them, then scored the winning TD in regulation. I liked how he was aggressive during the early parts of the game but come on! in that situation what if Michigan would have gotten a FG? then your pretty much scr*wed!

I don't care who beats Notre dame as long as Notre dame goes out of the game losers.

First of all I wouldn't want his job. He IS a good coach, wish I were on the sidelines to nudge him into kicking that field goal though! I was like WTF is he doing!
Yes, it was a great game and the Irish come back and looked great doing it. I think they will lose about 8-10 spots... not sure...

You are so right, he really blew their chance to win. Very annoying. Hubby is annoyed too. Of course, the field goal would not have helped hubby.

I better not mention that the Spartans are better this year :-) I mentioned last week in the ND thread that I thought Mich. State was better than Michigan. I was right.

Fire the coach! NO! I think if he had it to do over he would kick the field goal.
They make a great comeback, just think he got a little to carried away with the gambling, especially at that point in the game.
