Renee Zellweger & Kenny Chesney Split
Entertainment Tonight ^

Posted on 09/15/2005 3:17:44 PM PDT by TightyRighty

ET has confirmed that RENEE ZELLWEGER and country crooner KENNY CHESNEY have filed to anull their marriage of just over 4 months.

The two tied the knot in a surprise ceremony back in May on the beautiful island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the singer has a home. In a short, 15-minute ceremony performed by a female preacher in front of a small group of family and friends, the bride wore CAROLINA HERRERA, one of her favorite designers, while the groom was reportedly barefoot.

The two met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief effort last January 15 and maintained a quiet friendship that quickly blossomed. Fans first learned of their romance when Renee reportedly brought a margarita up on stage to Kenny during his show in Jacksonville, FL.

This was the first marriage for both stars, although the 37-year-old Kenny reportedly broke off an engagement to another woman in 1999, three weeks before the wedding. Prior to marrying Kenny, Renee dated WHITE STRIPES singer JACK WHITE and her 'Me, Myself & Irene' co-star JIM CARREY.

Why are so many country stars losing their hair?

Heredity. But on the plus side, cowboy hats are cooler than comb-overs.

For some reason it reminds me of the "My Little Buttercup" song and dance routine from The Three Amigos.

Yep, Jugglers, clowns and minstrels are the aristocracy in our befuddled society.

Now I will be humming that stupid tune all night. Only advantage of it is I remember Lee Hazelwood singing it with Nancy Sinatra. So I will smile as I think of Nancy in a mini skirt. Anyone have a picture of the original "boots are made for walking" girl? I would sure be blessed!

They're getting old(er).
Keith is 43, Chesney is 37, Yoakam is 49, McGraw is 38, Jackson is 46.

anything but gay

I guess I must have let my National Enquirer subscription lapse, 'cause I missed the whole wedding news.

I've never heard of this guy but after a quick google image search his poses do look a little gayray. And what's up with the perpetual cowboy hat?

Or maybe I'm just getting old, and that's what young chicks like these days.

Is there a name for metrosexual chicks or is that a "gender neutral" word? :)
