My grandmother use to give us girls hot toddys
back in the day if we had a cough and sore throat
here is how she made hers:
whiskey (any kind)
honey
lemon
warm it up and it slides right down and kills everything in its path!!
Max-are you sure your southern? I thought all Texans knew how to make hot toddys????

It's not coffee, it is booze and great for colds or the flu! : ) Might as well feel good!
I love the snow, snowmen, sledging and all the rest! : )

Hubby and I have discussed moving to Panama. That would be cool, except it's not in America. Might do it as an adventure some day.
Would like to go back to my husband's native South Carolina. But all my family is here, and I don't want to leave my parents, as they are getting older and having health problems, and I seem to be the go to child.
So, one day I will live in the South. But as my children are small and my parents are old, now is the time for sacrifice. Selfishness will come later!

"Hot Toddy" sounds a bit gay to me so I'm ok not knowing what they are.
What you described sounds like what we had at our house except my mom didn't call them Hot Toddys. She called it breakfast.

I tip my hat to you, Elliott.
Get to Texas when your life permits. PaulaB and I can vouch for it.

Well, that counts me out, cause I think bourbon sucks, too. : )

Well, Christmas was my 2nd favorite month.Christmas is not a month, silly.
I like Christmas, and I actually do like the whole holiday season feel. I am being a little obnoxious today. Forgive me.

Hey, wait a dog-gone-minute here. Didn't you just head to the mountains of Arkansas?? Two trips to beautiful locales in one year? Not fair!
I went to a conference in Seattle last year but didn't get to see much outside of downtown. A trip to the state would be nice. I went to the east side of Montana to see the Custer battlefield about 8 years ago and was somewhat disappointed in the landscape. I found out later that the real beauty of Montana lies in the western part of the state.

Most of our family is in Arkansas so
yes we are there ALOT!!!
I was in Washington about
2 years ago and thought Seattle and
the whole state was beautiful and amazing...
this time I'm taking my kids to see everything

Most favorite: October & November. It's usually beautiful in SoCal around that time. The worst of the heat is over, but it's not yet the rainy season. The Santa Ana winds blow the smog away and the sky is a beautiful blue. Temps in the 70s and 80s. Paradise!
Least favorite: July and August. Too blasted hot!
