I was just dozing off and thought I heard (o FOX) that doctors in NOLA were giving patients lethal doses of morphine?
I saw that link. I don't get Fox. In fact, I am so completely disgusted by this whole spectacle and having nothing but CNN (barf) that I went yesterday and ordered Dish. Hopefully my viewing options will be improving later this week.
As am I...I can't believe how bad it's all been handled. Let me know what you think of the Dish....may think about getting it---long ways future-wise.
There is another thread as of this afternoon that's about euthanasia. What was foretold by many is coming to pass. They are engaging in genocide instead of stabilizing the patients???????
I don't think this has any relation to Terri Schavio and I doubt that situation was on the medical staffs minds when this happened. (if it happened I should say).
If they are dying and you have a choice, lett them die of thirst / hunger / in terrific pain, or let them go gently into the night, what do you do? Rememeber these people were terminal (I hazard a guess that even moving them would have hastened the process)
Not all roads lead to Terri.
Well, my monthly bill won't be any higher than what I pay now for cable....and really crappy cable at that. We don't get ANYTHING worth watching. In town they get Cox, which has a wide selection, but in the county, forget it. CNN and CSPAN is it for cable news, don't get Animal Planet, one of my favorites, or Comedy Central or Sci-fi or History Channel. In other words, it really sux! Probably should've changed sooner.
Well, considering that nobody showed up for days to evacuate flooded hospitals, the culture of death wins another round.
Sounds like it....you receive basically nothing worth watching at the moment.
Exactly.
Terri was martyred and also was a sign of things to come. Who knew more loss of life would be delivered because of a natural disaster? The response was TOO SLOW. America better wake up or they will be put to sleep like an old pet who has a bad leg.
The very same thing happened in the mash unit at N.O.'s airport. These folks were being treated by our military. When these folks were brought in dying...they were moved to a quiet area (morgue) to die. A doctor on the ground saw it for himself and reported it.
This sort of thing was going on long before anybody heard of Terri Shiavo.
that does suck.
similar thread here. there's no way to know what actually happened.
As a matter of fact, Louisiana has a law against removing feeding tubes. The legislature didn't want to starve and dehydrate people there but it occurred anyway during a catastrophic storm because the Governor and the Mayor didn't have a plan. The feds assumed that the Governor had a plan. I don't think the Feds will be making assumptions about a state's ability or lack thereof to mobilize the next time there's a big one.
I don't think I laid any blame, I just pointed out the relative lack of choices these Doctors must have faced. If it did happen, I doubt we will hear much more about it.
How many other things we won't here about.
Did these people at the NO airport have DNR tags?
You don't kill people. It is not within the scope of the medical profession to decide if someone is worthy of living. Healthcare is about healing, not killing.
End of discussion.
