Iranian citizens hold candles,on Sep 18th. 2001, in memory of victims of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 in NYC and Washington DC, in downtown Tehran. The crowd shouted "death to terrorists".

A condolence book sits in front of U.S and Swiss flags in Switzerland's embassy which is in the U.S interests section in Tehran, Iran, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, to pay tribute to the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in the U.S. (as the US has no embassy in Iran)

You aren't playing the blame game.
You spoke nothing more than the truth.

Thank you for expressing your sympathies so well.

I send you, your family, and the Iranian people, my best wishes, too.

The Iranians I have known in the United States, expatriots following the abdication of the Shah, have all been accomplished and dignified people, courteous and gracious to a fault. I hope we can strengthen ties with these good people, although I fear relations may be strained to breaking if Bush should have to take what I am convinced is necessary action to prevent atomic weapons from being fielded under the control of radical Shi'ite clerics with ties to terrorists.

Thank you very much.

Don't ever be disheartened by those who think we are enemies and not allies. Some people are very childish, well into adulthood.

Thanks for the post.

I look forward to the day when "the godless decadence of western society" is treated like the weather in Muslim nations- something that everybody complains about, but nobody does anything about.

This is a point a lot of folks on FR miss- free and democratic societies don't as a general rule present a threat to other nations. It's when democracy fails that bloodthirsty dictators rise to power.
Ever heard of Oliver Cromwell? He was a good Christian- but he was every bit as bad as Saddam Hussein. Just ask the "evil decadent godless" Irish.

It's not just Islam, folks. People who complain about the xenophobia and violence in the Koran had better go back and reread the Old Testament.

Thank you for your condolences. I pray that your Country will be freed both politically and spiritually.

I have to ask how you can belong to a religion that oppresses so many around the world and supports terrorism??

Pray for W, NO, MS and Our Freedom Fighters
