The big series starts tonight. Sox up by 4 and magic number is 20. I posted this under crime given Giambi the cheaters use of roids.

Since Tampa spanked the yanks all season long I hope the Sox will do the same. The last Sox series of the season are against the Yankees. I hope they're completely out of it by then. That would be 3 great games of humiliation to watch.

It's series like these that cause me to wish baseball had a way that both teams in a game could lose.
(Although, I am currently suspending my disdain for all Boston area fans for a short time, to honor their fine performance booing that rap idiot at the Pats game last night. Probably will only last a few more hours though.)

The Red Sox only need 1 to atleast stay up by 3 games. I'm sure the Red Sox would just love to beat the yankees on the last weekend of the season to deny the yankees a playoff spot!

Roger left because someone else was willing to pay him more money up in Toronto. Secondly, the GM at the time gave him grief for showing up fat and out of shape in 1995 after the strike ended. Prima donna that he was he pouted and sulked about it.
He was one of the best of all time and it was a shame the way it ended in Boston.
Oh well....

The Sox got rid of Rodger the Rocket because he was too old, he won over 20 games the next season! He was out of shape and there is no evidence that he would have gotten into shape had he not left.
