As the weary citizens emerged from the sunken city of New Orleans liberal LA state politicians who depended on their votes watched their power slipping away. Many of those that escaped to freedom outside of the Big Sleazy may now realize how politicians like Blanco, the Landrieus, and Edwards kept them suppressed in a world of sub-substandard education, unimaginable violence (as the world saw last week), and the false hope of endless government support. Liberal politicians were all too happy to use the votes of these people promising to keep government aid coming and improve their lives. When it came election time Landrieu and Blanco depended on the 'liberal voting machine' to start up the buses in New Orleans and deliver their pawns to the voting boothes to insure a win. Oddly, these buses were silent when these people needed something from the politicians that used their votes. That is, all but one bus that a brave kid used to help people escape from the Big Sleazy to the Astrodome. That kid showed amazing courage and leadership which means he better watch his back, because those who make liberals look bad often get slandered. Just ask Clinton's buddy Linda Tripp. OK, I think the kid will be OK, but you get the picture and know the drill.

Lighten up on poor Dave. He went through this late last night too, and everybody eventually decided he's a friendly. Though vanities on sign-up day is a pretty good way to unleash the kitties...

i assume this is not metaphor, but truth.

There is another thread talking about Michael Moore making a Katrina type movie. An anti-MM movie showing the busses used to deliver the votes, then cut to the busses in 3 feet of water.
Now that would carry the point.
