This is a shamless vanity that somehow feel compelled to write. No I am not all weepy because I am PMSing....or because I am all girly and soft. I just finished reading 7 or 8 of the various after reports on the various freeping of the Sheehan and Code Pink(O) events and I felt all warm and mushy inside.

I haven't been here long, but I was a lurker for several years. During that time, I longed to become a member and have my voice heard but, I was an internet winnie. FR has given me the ability to express my opinion to the world and I am thankful. Now, if I could just get a high-speed connection, everything would be perfect.

I'm getting my smacks in but in a slightly different way.
We know a really nice but flaming liberal couple back home.
I send everybody, including them, month newsletters on our overseas exploits.
Every month has at least one "smack you in the face" example of how socialistic/liberal policies are affecting some people/place badly.

Anna pictures make me tongue tied. I can't help it, and actually am not sure I would want help in that regard. I love the woman's abs.
But in all of my stammering, I was trying to relate that I agreed with the original post and shared many of those reasons for appreciating being here. We don't always agree, nor should we be expected to; I like being able to learn from the some of more articulate posters on FR. Plus, it is a telling contrast to the DUmp.
What stikes me when I read 95% of what is posted there is how angry and bitter the tone is there.
We post news, support the troops stories, and even our vanities generally are helpful to the group as a whole.
