Let's see...

" - I hold people responsible for actions they take"

Followed by this...

" - I also believe in a womans right to choose"

So, if a woman gets pregnant due to actions she chooses, she is then aborgated of the responsinbility of those actions and can "choose" to simply kill the growing human within her. Sorry...those two positions do not "compute".

Or, in my Texas upbringing...That dog don't hunt.

So to prevent abortion you favor having government pass a law that forces women to carry to birth every pregnancy conceived?

Ever given any Texas thought to the restrictions on liberty such laws would entail?
Or to the fact that those restrictive powers, once given, could be used by governments to control every other aspect of our lives?

Your premise is false.
XtremeSS said " - I hold people responsible for actions they take" then he said " - I also believe in a womans right to choose"

Funny, abortion is side stepping the consequences of your own actions.
The subject is personal responsibility.
Want to tell me how abortion fits in with accepting responsibility and the consequences of your actions?

Oh...Bravo Sierra. I favor a law, like we used to have all over this country, that makes it illegal to kill an unborn child. Plain an simple.

The unalienable right to life is for humans. Unborn children are humans...they can be nothing else. The ultiumnate restriction on liberty is to kill the innocent. By your misbegotten and twisted reasoning it would be just as easy to ultimately say...

So to prevent euthinasia you favor having government pass a law that forces women to provide for every pregnancy that ends up in a mentally disabled, physically disabled, etc. child?

Ever given any thought to the restrictions on liberty such laws would entail? Or to the fact that those restrictive powers, once given, could be used by governments to control every other aspect of our lives?

In fact, there are people now pushing for for laws to legalize and prtoect euthinasia. It is the natural extension of the kill for convienence mentality that comes with abortion on demand and the culture of death it brings with it.

So, do not talk to me about your twisted view of libertyy. Killing the unborn restricts liberty of that child totally, with no recourse, and it is done in the vast majority of cases for simple convienence and because the mother has been indoctrinated to believe that she has no responsibility to her own child. In other words...pure tyranny. We are destroying the well spring of our own society in the process.

Abortion is killing. I stops a beating heart. It is wrong and should be once again so recognized in our law if we are to be true to the very foundational principle this Republic was founded upon... the right to life.

Adieu

At what point does a baby become a person. Surely you agree that punching a 1-month old infant in the face is wrong. Well, bow about a 8-month "fetus" It would be wrong to punch a pregnant mother in the stomach, right? Well, a 1 day old "fetus" has all the DNA and everything else it needs to become a baby, it just needs time to grow. Killing a "fetus" at any stage of development is murder. Pure, plain and simple murder. There is no way around it.

You weren't given a drivers license at birth, were you? Why? Because you needed time to grow and develop. Should you have never been allowed to get your drivers license just because you you didn't have the skills to drive at 3 days old? So why should a baby be murdered just because it's not "viable"?

Get a clue, man, and thank GOD! your momma is smarter than you.
