I'm having a problem with a Verizon phone. When a call comes in, it will ring fine. About three calls later, it doesn't ring in, but goes directly to voice mail. We've had the software updated and the phone checked and no one can find anything wrong with it.

They work on it, and it works fine for about two or three calls and then goes back into the mode where it sends the call directly to voice mail. Anyone know what could possibly be wrong.

It's got the tech's puzzled, but I figured since FR is the source of all wisdom, surely someone here could figure it out.

Sounds like a 'system' issue; like a bug in the MTSO 'switch' or in the cell site (you would not believe how many micros they emply in one of the call sites alone!) - upgrading the software in your phone isn't going to do squat until they get the bug in their software fixed.

I recall stories where they 'backed out' a whole software 'load' on a DSC 'switch' once upon a time on a system that was running Motorola equipment in order to colve a bunch of funny 'bugs' they were seeign after loading the new switch software.
