Hell Has Frozen Over: NBC Nightly News is talking about the flooded school buses.
6 Sep 2005 | PhilipFreneau

The title says it all. NBC News is currently reporting on "Missed Opportunities" -- actions that could have saved lives. One of those missed opportunities is the 200+ flooded school buses. NBC is even referring to the evacuation plan and its reference to the school buses.

"Today the mayor would not comment [on the flooded school buses]," reported NBC's Lisa Myers.

I kid you not! The report is only five or six days after Free Republic reported it, and only three or four days after Drudge reported it!

Thanks.

I'm afraid I referred to Russert in my closing remarks (to NBC) as a jack*ss and added "on second thought, what an *sshole."

I heard Whorealdo on with Sean Hannity this afternoon.

Praising the Mayor and saying that no town would allow busses in with the people from NO. He stated that no town in NY would let the people in from Harlem either if there was an evacuation.

Despicable, no other word for it.

And now that the water level is subsiding and we are seeing all those parked cars, can anyone explain why those 'poor' people didn't leave town.

They had days to evacuate.

I love the way they said "NBC News has obtained a copy of the official evacuation plan."

Gee, we're so impressed. We've been reading it for THREE or FOUR DAYS!

NBC News, behind the curve, but catching up to people with internet access!

Arrangements to use the busses for evacuations could have been taken care of long in advance of the actual need.

We've seen the school buses, except for the one that went to the Astrodome anyway, courtesy of our man, Jabbar. However, we are constantly reminded of the lack of cars because people can't afford them, etc., which means there must have been any number of city buses, too. Where were they?

My theory is they first attacked the President but that didn't get the response they hoped for so now they will begin to actually report on what happened.

He's trying to buy back the black community for daring to say OJ was guilty.

He has done more harm to the black community with his race baiting than he can imagine.
