Rush, once again praised the detective work of the 'freepers'. This happened about 1:35PM Central.

He mentioned the photo of all the buses underwater that has been all over this site for the past few days. I think it was Junk Yard Blog that first broke the bus photos. With the internet, there's no hiding any more.

I don't blame you. It's hard to read what they write without having an aneurism. Imagine the most vile case of self-irresponsibility and combine it with hatred for a good man and crocodile tears. Then multiply that by healthy dose of drug-induced debauchery and you have DU.
(But to give you an example of what Boortz read, someone wrote a post begging Freepers to put bumper stickers on their cars, so he/she/it could swerve to run them and their children down. Apparently because we cause the New Orleans disaster...)

Any talkshow hosts picked up "barking moonbats" yet? Howie Carr (WRKO Boston, heard in other markets) picked it up ages ago. He tracks FR too.

He was talking about the new york times op ed that called levee money a boondogle in April of this year and then blamed bush for not having sufficient levee hence breach. Credited Freepers and Power Line. Said Freepers doing "good work".Snicker. I just bet the NYT editors go, "Oh, S**t!" whenever somebody resurrects one of their old pieces and points out the inconsistencies in their present and past positions. The internet never sleeps or forgets.

What is the gist of what the DU'ers are saying? You would think I was making stuff up if I told you the kind of things they are saying, only they're actually more imaginative than I could ever be. And, they believe what they post.

I hadn't picked up on the fact that Breslin wrote that article! I thought that old drunk was dead a long time ago. Maybe he'll go to NOLA and get the same reception he got in Crown Hgts.

The reality is we have a lot for former newsies here, along with former/retired mil intel people, plus a whole bunch of anti-social snoops!
The perfect collection!
Think about it. We broke Typeface-gate, Jennings imminent death, the public school on Oklahoma City that recited the "Pledge to The Black Flag," and hundreds more, as well as debunking tons of urban legends.
(who remembers other stories we had first?)
This is basically guerrilla journalism.
While network and local TV are covering the newest angry welfare recipient/Bush hater and reading us the police blotter, we are doing the news that counts to future generations of 'Merkans!

He's on 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., eastern time (to 6:00 p.m. in affiliate markets -- 6:00-7:00 he sticks to local topics). I think you can get him on the internet either at
wrko.com. I'm not sure whether they've expanded whatever they need to let a lot of people listen (I'm not exactly a techno-geek!), but they haven't mentioned problems lately.

News about that shuttle that broke apart while re-entering the earth's atmosphere was broken here. California Freepers watching with telescopes reported it here first.

I think it was the challenger disaster a Freeper even beat houston.
