Well, I guess Brosnan feels that he has reached a point in his career where he can afford to alienate a sizable chunk of his audience.

Considering the fact that Hollywood is in a really deep funk right now, with revenues down considerably, I can see why he'd want people like myself to avoid his movies as I do with several others, notably Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Robert Redford and Julia Roberts. (P)I have no problem adding Brosnan to that list at all.

I do have one question, though. Is Brosnan a US citizen?

He was the worse Bond ever anyway.

True. And that includes George Lazenby.

Well, he WAS in FRANCE...and apparently by himself >>>

Pierce Brosnan was the only big star on hand as the Deauville Festival of American Cinema got off to a quiet start over the weekend, and he took advantage of the spotlight to blast the Bush administration's handling of the carnage caused by Hurricane Katrina.

(snip)

Brosnan was in the northern coastal resort promoting the black comedy "The Matador," which opened the festival Friday.

Look for it at an empty theater near you!

Pierce Brosnan decided to become an American because he wants the right to vote for John Kerry in the upcoming presidential election.

The 51-year-old screen star took the oath in Los Angeles, just weeks ahead of the vote.

Brosnan says: "I want to have a voice. I want to be able to vote for John Kerry."

After taking his oath, Brosnan returned to his home on Malibu, California, where he was greeted by his wife Keely, their two children and a cake decorated with an American flag.

Brosnan, who will retain dual citizenship, add: "I found a whole new life and identity in America. (But) my heart and soul will forever be Irish."

Thanks for the info.

Sad we allow such traitors in as citizens, but our freedoms pretty much keep that avenue open.

"Actor Brosnan says Bush 'has a lot to answer for"

Brosnan, another deluded actor who actually believes he possesses the same characteristics as super cool James Bond.

Hey Brosnan, GO AND TRY TO MANAGE YOUR OWN (home) COUNTRY then report back to us how easy it is. You smug, dilletante (clueless) jerk

Who cares what this hack thinks?? He's easily Hollywood's worst and most unappealing actor. Go back to preening for the cameras prissy boy. Let the real leaders handle the disaster. Instead, why don't you work on the disaster that most impacts you: the disaster that is your "acting" career?

Ah, he wanted to vote for John Kerry. Isn't that special. That helped a lot.

Dual citizenship? I understood that as a US citizen, it isn't legal to hold dual citizenship? I might be wrong but when I was lucky enough to become a citizen, I was required to surrender my old passport, which I willingly did.

I gather our old friend Pierce Brosnan is in need of work. It never fails, when hollywood stars start to fade well just bash big bad Bush and maybe just maybe you'll find some work.

Just goes to show you that the socialist left have taken over the entire hollywood machine. Sad indeed there mr Bond.

I'd say this steaming pile of dog dung has a lot to answer for himself. What ever made him think he could fill Sean Connery's shoes?
