That is: I agree with YOU, and think the original poster on this thread is showing bad form by polticizing this disaster.
Yeah but Bubba does everything for Bubba. He will siphon off plenty of money for himself and a little for the campaign warchest of Tubba.
Not you again
Here's what should be happening....
Bush should make lemon sorbet out of Lemons. He should ride tall in the saddle and come to the rescue of the people of the Gulf Coast. He should show leadership-- the Presidency isn't too big a job for one man. See Reagan.
Why on Earth would he give oxygen to BJ Clinton and Hillary right now. Talk about giving that terrible twosome help for '08.
Has anybody seen Sid Vicious Blumenthal's editorial blaming Bush for this?
Bush needs to lead. It makes no sense for him to say America could go it alone in Iraq, but he can't go it alone in Hurrican relief. It's nutty.
Someone from one of the think tanks or at NRO should also be making the case that the Democrats styming of the Energy Bill is why gas is so high and the energy infrastructure hasn't been modernized.
You're right, NOTHING is happening to save the people. Yeah he needs to saddle up right now, round up a posse and get 'er done. /sarcasm
Good Grief...
Love him or hate him BC is very VERY good at raising $$. A good leader picks the best people for the jobs that need doing. Right now we need people raising money, a good move on Bush's part
How much of the money Bill raises for various disasters gets diverted to His wife's '08 campaign coffers?
As far as I'm concerned, no cause is helped by putting a Clinton in charge.
Since we're pulling out the old hands, why not Dick Armey or Giuliani or Don Nickles or a Republican. Why BJ Clinton?
Please tone down with the name calling and personal attacks
Thanks
Does it go both ways or do I get to be the pin cushion?
When it comes to this stuff, Bush is becoming a self inflicted wound.
Truly.
He opens himself up to the conventional wisdom that was chic during the Carter Years-- the CW was that the Presidency was too big a job for one man. But Reagan proved them wrong. Reagan's midwestern resoluteness and California optimism made him great. Bush, despite all the Texas language, is a New Englander at heart.
He should be the able, solitary hero on this. When the President is big, the demands of the job seem small.
The President should go big and send Clinton home. If he was going to have any politico help, he should've picked Giuliani.
Well, one good thing about having Clinton(can't believe I just said that) on the team to raise money for the effort is that he is less likely to be going out and trashing the effort in the MSM. And altho he makes my skin crawl there are some who will give more for the effort because he is on the team.
I suppose that's the reason, it gives them cover. But effective Presidential leadership and communication could've done the same thing and we wouldn't have to exalt Clintoon in the process.
