Unfortunately, Joni Mitchell also was there opening. That was a good time to go drink beer! I saw the three of them together in Anaheim, on that same tour. Van opened the show, Dylan closed it and there was a long intermission in between for me and about half the crowd when Joni Mitchell came on.

That's correct. SHe was in the middle. It was a great to have an intermission. They had a beer hall set up with views of the gorge and river below!
Van blew the place away. ANd Bob was as hard rocking as I'd ever seen him.

Not to be a "know it all " jerk.....From that tour I have San Jose 5-19-98 soundboard cds of Van and Dylan sets. In some venues they offer "hearing impaired" folks a feed to a FM transmission from the soundboard. You just plug your recorder into the headphone jack and -boom- master soundboard recording! I also have LA 5-21-98, Dylan set and Van "highlites"..B+ audience recording.I have a few recordings of Van and Bob together over the years.Many on dvd.
