I know the Navy is bring ships, that oil reserves have been tapped but why hasn't our President appeared on TV and addressed this catastrophe? In a time of crises, the leaders should be very visible. As of now, Bush hasn't been seen. Please let me know if I've missed something.
Some presidents actually do something before going on TV.
Because the man goes on facts and not knee jerk reations. In addition, having the President show up at the affected areas takes away from the rescue effort and causes problesm for those involved, ASk anyone who ever has been involved with such a relief effort. Best thing the Pres & high ranking officials can do is stay out until critical needs are met and there is time to provide the logistics for other things.
BTW, he is the Commander of the Military, all those ships & troops move on his command. So he is doing something.
He's already sending in the Marines.
Funny how the MSM missed that.
Its weird how people expect him to be like that idiot Clinton
always in front of the camera and never got anything
done but himself....
Uh, I think I have seen him do so twice to date.
FYI, Before the storm struck, President also urged once, then warned the democrat NO mayor and LA govenor to evacuate NO. They procrastinated, hesitated, then made a half hearted effort to late. Thanks to those two dim dems, you now have the horrific human tradegy unfolding in NO today.
Oops. I meant that to go to Monty Python. I was one post off.
Gosh!
I would like to describe how the radical environmentalists and their democrat enablers have prevented oil drilling and construction of refineries for a start!
Bush has said alot, and enough. Direct your questions to the main stream media, which has a black out on our president.
Eight years of a narcissist named BJ Clinton has brainwashed you into believing that if the president isn't on TV 30 seconds after a disaster, he doesn't care.
Adults are in charge now.
Bingo!
That's right, All those "Navy" ships actually haul Marines and their equipment around...That's their function in life...
