Payday is supposed to be 1st and 16th. When they fall on a weekend a normal company pays the Friday before.

Who pays like that???

when you get your Soc Sec your pay is not the 3rd of the month unless you are grandfather and than I am not too sure
but now it is the either the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th wed of the month!

For all Social Security beneficiaries receiving benefits after April 1997
Second Wednesday
If birth date on 1st - 10th

Third Wednesday
If birth date on 11th - 20th

Fourth Wednesday
If birth date on 21st - 31st

My husband was at the 5th of the month I am at the 27th of he month.

So they stop his check in Sept on the second Wed to shift to my Soc Sec disability, and my disability will start on the 4th Wed of the 26th of Oct...

it is a loonnng wait...almost there of course they notified me on the Sept 27th...planing was was not an option so I am just holding my breath!

Does he have a 'toasted human hand' to put by the spider yet?
(I may know where to find one..)

When you think of how much Uncle Sam and Cousins have taken over the year knowingly and unknowingly....

ever look at a phone bill you pay close to $20 just to have a phone I tried to look it up on the net to get full disclosure hidden Govermental surcharges and fees!

I don't think one can easy get the complete list...only a portion ... I heard it on Verizon voice prompts an it went on for ever (congress has been a busy at fleesing the public not only with the phone bill but in every Tech service there are hidden charges!

When 60% Of Your Phone Bill Is From Unadvertised Fees

Contributed by Mike on Monday, September 20th, 2004 @ 12:53AM from the seems-a-bit-extreme dept. We've had plenty of stories about phone companies and all of the additional fees they add to your bill, but the Miami Herald has a few examples where the situation clearly goes beyond any reasonable level.

Take, for example, a simple plan from BellSouth, advertised at $11.04/month. What they leave is out the extra $16 in fees and taxes (BugMeNot required) that turn the $11 plan into a $27 one.

Then, there are companies like Primus which is adding a $15 "low usage" fee for anyone who doesn't make $25 worth of long distance calls per month.

The telcos come back with their usual refrain that they somehow "need" to collect this fee "to recoup normal business expenses." That, of course, is a ridiculous statement.

Any normal business prices their "normal business expenses" into their advertised prices. This is simply a way for the telcos to advertise lower prices than they're really charging.

Perhaps other companies should get into this game as well.

Want a pizza pie? It's just $3, but there's a $3.50 "crust fee," a $9.38 "oven fee," a $4.50 "service fee," and a $2.18 "cleanup fee." Plus tax.

I just bought Rachel Rays knife set. They're wonderful. Problem is.....I'd like to have the set in FL too. Everything I like I have to buy double. I have a nice Henckle? but I like these knives much better.

You're right about the hidden taxes on the phone bill. They are rediculous, as they more than double the price of the phone.

At least I only pay 4 cents a minute on everything, except of course over-seas.

I am getting the Wolfgang Puck’s for $20 but it was on Rachel Ray show I first saw them and I had e mailed HSN months ago asking if Ultrex or Wolfgang Puck’s could come out with the Santoku Knife...I have some of their other knifes and they are a treasure!

Don't let the price fool you, some products have too many middle men and marketing cost!

I knew I could get a good price and fine piece of cutlery!!

Art Kroll who has Ultrex is a manufactor many of most of the leading brand names!

On top of that they have a 30 day return policy!

scroll down and read what others feel about this $20 item!

BTW they are in Florida

I knew when I first saw Rachel working with the Santoku knife I knew they were special...

I watched RR before she started using the Santoku knives and I would get nervous because she does not fold her fingers to the knuckles and could get cut...

Every Tom, Dick and Harry has a version...

This all blossom since spring when there was only a couple of brands out there!

I see now she has a deal with Oprah!

When I get my retro money I want to get a Top Door Frig...

I really think that is the cat meow...

how often a day does one open the freezer?

so to me it belongs on the bottem!
