LOL! That kitty sure has big hair.

It is cool here this morning, but it is supposed to be in the 80s again today.

morning Gran,

Your Latest Kitty looks cute -- the eyes need to come out just a tad different; I had a siamese for a few years, incredibly smart animal, and the eyes -- they pierce. They don't just fill the eye sockets like most timid cats.

IMHO -- FWIW

Love looking at your work.

That last seascape set me off to wondering about a program that could figure out how to insert the swirls and swipes by looking for natural textures in the starting pic...

Just a programmer's idle curiosity.

Morning Cardhu -- tho you're getting toward lunchtime there.

That suspension bridge is a little more challenging than meets the eye, in the last earthquake there, didn't the two ends move about a foot apart?

I seem to remember the engineers could put up the span, but allowing for the stretching of an earthquake was the sticky spot.

The wasn´t any bridge in that area when they had the last earthquake in 1908.

Architects say the structure would be able to withstand an earthquake of more than 7.1 even if the epicentre were as close as 15km.

Oh dear...I lost my last post..

My granddaughter Jessie came in and we had a looong chat. She's such a darling, and I love talking to her, and more than that, I love the fact that she loves talking to me...about anything and everything. It's so great that a fourteen year old will walk over to visit Nana and Gramp several times a week just to gab and tell us all the news in her life with friends and school. I will miss these chats this winter. :(

As to my cat's eyes...yes I lost them by being lazy and not changing my brush, but these are only practice pics. Someday, hopefully, you will see some improvement. ;) I have an intense liking for larnin...even tho I never get that good at anything..it's just fun and occupies this old mind.

I just bought this progam called Gertrudis Pro 2.1. It is very reasonably priced and is fun too. I am posting the link to it. Check it out, you and the family might have some fun with it. You can steal some of Cardu's pics and practice with it like I do...lol.

I know you do and you always improve them Gran. I will have to post some that are more suitable for your Gertrudis Pro 2.1.

Gonna rest my eyes for a while see ya later.

I remembered that from 1990, the earthquake wasn't strong but very discouraging for engineers.

I looked at that website, Grannie, and isn't that fun -- I could enjoy doing something between what you and Cardhu do, take a long walk, take some good pics, put together an album, and work over the best of the pics and post them.

You're lucky Grannie, having a 14 year old pour her heart out to you. Years from now she will still have that compass.

Thanks a bunch; Now I've got to do some church work.

Have a good Sunday.

This is a new book out that Al will be picking up tomorrow. You will see from the link what the book is about. It is getting rave reviews.

The reason for our interest, is that Capt'n Frank Quirk was a friend of ours, and lost his life trying to save a tanker, the Global Hope, off the coast of Gloucester during the blizzard of 1978.

We had been on his boat many times and he was a wonderful guy. It was a terrible tragedy and now it is in book form. Al can't wait to get it.

Cardhu...if you think you'd like this book I will buy it and send it to you, ok? I know how hard it is to get things sent to Spain.

Books do not seem to be a problem it is more like camera equipment. I think they have a pact with the makers not to mess with their overseas markets.

Anyway Gran thanks for the offer.
