Hi EA it has been quiet today.
I was testing my zoom from a window in Coruña. The Torre de Control is 1.4 Nm. from were I was which is 1.6 statute miles. I was not at full zoom as I wanted to get part of the Old Hospital Militar, which is no longer used by the Military, into the picture.
Control tower for shipping.
The weather was not good today.
To: Cardhu
Wow! Look at that.
Is the weather changing for Autumn-Winter? Or is it just the weekend?
To: EsmeraldaA
I hope it is just this weekend.
To: Cardhu
Well......for your sake, I hope so too. :o)

I thought the name was rather strange and have tried to find out to what it refers:
I checked with Google and all I could find was, "Morte Realeza Fatos França Morte de Catherine de Valois." Catherine de Valois was the wife of Henry V and died in 1437.
In the background is the Castillo de San Anton, which was built in the XVI century and protected the Port against Sir Frances Drake in 1589 and later became a prison and is now a museum.
From our window at lunch time.
A lot of history in one photograph. :)

I came back from La Coruña and saw the sun in the harbor.
I really messed the photo up but it is still interesting to see just how the harbor was illuminated in an otherwise dark world.
Harbor in sunlight

That's a nice lens on that camera. Picks up the ambiance in your scenes.

Maybe not breakfast but lunch.
To: sweetliberty
Yes it is a good camera and even I can take good photos if I let it do all the work.

I just got back from the adoption picnic. It was a nice day. I hope lots of the children get adoptive families. It's a wonderful opportunity for some of these kids who might otherwise be overlooked. The drawback to these kinds of events is that it is very sad for the ones who aren't "chosen."

Yeah. It's a lot like door to door sales. Lots of doors get slammed in your face for every sale. It's hard enough on adults who understand this and don't have their entire lives invested in selling a vacuum cleaner.

I can't imagine something like that. Sad mostly.
