Will Someone Please Show Me how to Post Pictures?

Okay, I can't stand it anymore. I joined FreeRepublic.com in May, 2005. I still have the new guy stigma. But since I've been here, no one has shown me how to post pics. Someone once said to go to tinypic.com, but that's not good enough.
Now, let's just pretend I'm a complete computer idiot. Actually, we don't have to pretend, because that's the case. Someone please give me thorough, exact, step-by-step instructions. Say I want to post a picture of my dog in my homepage. Where do I go? What do I do? What buttons do I click? I would greatly appreciate this.

Either you can use "Photo Bucket" (See post #20)...or a Yahoo/Geocities account, or your own ISP's server (most/all ISP's give you room for your own website...usu. 10 megs or so per username). Each of these ways has a different way to "upload", so I can't answer your quest. specifically. "Bush_Democrat" gave pretty full instructions in post #20 for Photo Bucket accounts.

I've had that Harley Davidson hat since I was 15. It's the only hat I've ever found that fit my amazingly tiny skull. I wear it every informal place I go. It's part of me...like Larry from the 3 stooges' haircut or something.

Well? Are you going to post a picture of your dog on your homepage or not?

Oh, right, right. I'm getting ahead of myself. In the meantime, here's a picture of my cat on his own personal bed to keep us entertained:

Eeeeeek! I was bitten by a huge Rottweiler once. Fourteen stitches in my right arm. No permanent damage, thankfully.

Okay, mine's up. To my homepage, at the bottom.

He's a lamb, really. A "hugh" 158-pound lamb, but a lamb nonetheless. (Sorry about your experience, though.)

THanks. As you can tell, he's still a puppy. About 10 months old, and he's grown a little since that picture was taken. He weighs about 50 pounds.

You've got a nice rottweiler. I'm a pizza delivery boy (for the moment), and I run into about a hundred dogs per day. You'd be surprised how few are actually aggressive. Everyone thinks they have to tell me, "oh, he won't bite you," while the dog's trying to lick me and play with me. Not exactly terrifying.

tinypics kicks ass. I couldn't post a pic until FReeper missyme sent me to tinypics. I love having photos on my profile page! At last, after several long years, my fellow FReepers know the truth:
