"Abrams didn’t know about the child support agreement and is seeking to have it overturned."

He does know that he has children with her doesn't he? I would have thought he has to have known what the child support terms were.

I would have sworn that they were dating one another, and completely uninterested in females.

The story on your link doesn't tell the whole story -- The story on NewsOK.com tells a different story -- one that doesn't involve hair (Your story sounds like it's out to slam her without telling the entire story):

Former Color Me Badd singer Bryan Abrams, once a star in the 1990s boy band craze, is working at an Oklahoma City tire store and fighting claims made by two ex-wives that he's a deadbeat dad.

The civil court battle pits Abrams against Shon Gables, a former Oklahoma City newscaster who now anchors the WCBS news in New York City. She claims the singer owes her more than $16,000 in back child support.

Gables flew to Oklahoma City to confront her ex in court this week and was backed by Abrams' second ex-wife, Ashly Abrams.

Gables estimates she has spent $10,000 trying to recover support owed by Bryan Abrams.

"I could be putting this money into my son's education," Gables said.

Gables showed up in Oklahoma County District Court on Tuesday with Ashly Abrams. The second ex-wife, a hairdresser, said she helped pay Abrams' legal fees against Gables until their own three-year marriage ended in 2003.

Ashly Abrams said the singer has played no role in the life of their 3-year-old daughter. Gables said their son has visited Bryan Abrams, but he has paid little toward the boy's support.

Abrams, 35, declined interviews but responded with this prepared statement:

"My ex-wife's allegations are simply that: 'allegations.' I prefer to tell my side of the story in court, where I am confident that God will see that truth prevails."

Abrams' fiancee Kim Frazier told The Oklahoman the couple believes Gables is trying to pressure them to give up contact with his son.

"Both of us are holding his son's welfare in the highest regard and are deeply saddened that, despite our efforts, his child will be the one to pay the price for the mudslinging in the media and in court," Frazier said.

Abrams didn't appear at Tuesday's hearing. His attorney, Floyd Taylor, told Oklahoma County Judge Allen J. Welch Abrams didn't know about the child support agreement and is seeking to have it overturned.

"He said, 'I never agreed to this; I don't know what it is,'" Taylor argued.

Gables' attorney Joe Balkenbush unsuccessfully pleaded with Welch to proceed with a contempt hearing.

"He's paid three payments in the last four years," Balkenbush said. "Don't believe him, judge — don't believe it."

Welch ruled otherwise, saying the request to overturn the child support agreement must be heard before proceeding with the contempt hearing.

The two sides, meanwhile, remain bitterly at odds over Abrams' responsibilities as a father.

Gables also is upset Abrams allegedly allowed their son to accompany him to work at his fiancee's store, Tyre Mart Brokerage, at 2800 SE 28. The business is about a mile west of where four people were killed Memorial Day.

Gables' attorney provided The Oklahoman with police reports detailing Abrams' arrests on complaints of assault and harboring a fugitive.

Color Me Badd was founded in 1990 by Abrams and fellow Northwest Classen High School graduates Sam Watters, Mark Calderon and Kevin Thornton.

Gables said she was competing in a Miss Black OU pageant when she met Abrams, whose group was performing during intermission.

They married in 1992 as the band was becoming a national sensation with their hits "I Wanna Sex You Up," "I Adore Mi Amor" and "All 4 Love." Their debut album sold more than 8 million copies.

They were a 1992 Grammy nominee for best new artist and R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

Gables said during those days, Abrams lived lavishly, taking his "posse" on vacations and paying for around-the-clock bodyguards.

"We separated after he found out I was pregnant," Gables said. "I was in New York alone, pregnant, working as a ticket agent at New York LaGuardia (airport)."

They divorced, and Gables said she returned to Oklahoma where she started a career as a television newscaster.

Color Me Badd broke up in 1998 after their last album failed to make the charts. Abrams' last solo record was "Welcome to Me," released in 2001. His fiancee, Kim Frazier, said Abrams is working on a new recording.

Color Me Badd songs still are played on the radio. Their song "All 4 Love" was No. 12 on the recent VH-1 special "40 Most Awesomely Bad No. 1 Songs Ever."

Gables, whose real name is Shondella Klamka, said Abrams made millions during his career.

"All of which he blew," Gables said. "He has nothing to show for it, except the ASCAP publishing he co-owns with other members of the group."
