Also, the oldest fort in the US, Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA is closing. Fortifications at that site date back to the 1600's. The present fort dates back to 1819. Seems it could be made into a state park.
I HATE people who build up to an airport right-of-way and then complain about airplane noise. That is just so f'n wrong.

I don't know. They're talking about how many millions it will take to clean up all the unexploded ordinance there. I hope it gets turned over to the National Park Service.

Yeah, Just listen to all those idiots complain about DFW noise. When that airport was built, it was in the middle of nowhere!
