I sortof like driving in snow, if I'm not in any hurries... That's what I kindof like about the snow we get here, it's occasional enough that it stops everything else from being important, and life slows down for a day or two. (you know what a rat race I'm in after all ;~D)
But I don't have a good feel for what your van would drive like in snow.
I don't mind powdery snow that isn't churned into slushy. That's almost fun to drive in. As long as you make any turns gradually, it's not hard to drive in. Makes ya feel like you're floating. ;-) And on back roads where you're the only car out, the road all white up ahead without any tracks yet (or only snowed over ones) and hearing the sound of the tires in the snow...it's strangely soothing.
But I don't like driving in slushy conditions, and with the amount of traffic we have in town, I can't see snow *not* turning slushy and slick in a hurry. That, I don't like.
OK, NOW I'm out the door.
I hate driving in snow. Just hate it. It's a psychological thing. Otherwise I love watching snow fall, or looking out at a snowy evening.
It'll be seventy here again by the end of the week, we've got a while before winter really sets in.
