Evening Rosie, never really noticed it at time. Those were much simpler days and I guess we never knew the difference. I did see a Flash Gordon serial in College, after seeing TV Star Trek, I knew I'd been had as a young 'un. Still for all that, they were enjoyable.
Evening OT - that sounds like a nice improvement in ambient temperatures. We got the tomato vines down, only a couple of little green ones left. Grass mowed, waiting for it to quit growing already.
I've got tomorrow off, so I'm plannin' to do yard work and start to work on the dry stream bed (must remember pictures).
Jr. told me the naybe said "tell your Dad I want to help him with the dry stream bed."
I asked Jr. if he told him I didn't want him to help. I ~do~ appreciate the offer, but ~if'n ya ask me~ it's just a tad bit manipulative.
I'm planning on clearing out the planter boxes sometime this week. Need to put in more soil amendments, that's fer sure.
any of y'all have had a pet with a slipped disc?
I've heard of certain breeds having a slipped disc, daschunds especially, but have never dealt with one.
Is it your dog?
Tomorrow off, lucky guy.
It's getting cold... I bet the snow starts before midnight.
In other news, I bought seventy books at the "bag sale" at the mall. That comes to about 15 cents a book. Even if there's a lot of lousy ones, that rocks.
so far all Ive been able to see that can be done is surgery (which we cant afford) or a little cart...was wondering about the cart and if it was helpful....am really worried about Gizmo losing control of bodily functions
I got 38 paperbacks. That comes to 13 cents each. Most should at least be entertaining...and at that price, I can always just pitch the ones that aren't.
Finally actually own some Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett...and I filled some holes in my Rex Stout and Agatha Christie collections.
Oh dear...no, never experienced that. It's a definite diagnosis?
Hair's dealt with dogs with joint issues. Not sure about a slipped disc.
Oh Alkhin. I'm so sorry. :-(
I've seen those little carts and the dogs using them seem to adapt quickly, but I don't know much about them.
I'll put little Gizmo in my prayers.
I'm heading to bed early tonight. I'm completely beat up from cleaning today.
See everyone tomorrow.
Sorry - I've never dealt with exactly that. I've certainly seen the dogs in the little carts on TV. I'd do some very careful thinking and talking with your vet.
When my old labrador Logan was 16, his back gave out and paralyzed him... I thought it was profound how he was obviously in no pain, but he was immobile. I put him to sleep then, but he was paralyzed both front and back and there was little else that could be done.
Check with your local library about donating it at their next book sale. The write it off on your taxes. ;o)
Ruh roh.
He went to the welding shop at the plant where he worked, showed them the picture of the cart, and they made one for us. It was hilarious watching her walk; especially downhill when the wheels on the back started going faster than her little front legs. She lived for almost three years after developing the condition, but she was a happy little thing, regardless.
Loved every minute of it.
I don't know who I am anymore :)
*This actually has a reasonable explanation...
Don't try to out attitude me. I own all the stuff.
I'm going to inherit an near-mint set from 1968. It will go quicky, and for a large sum.
Here ya go...
