Tam is actually up this morning. I'm amazed.
Of course, the fact that I forgot to turn off last week's weekend alarm on my cell phone might have something to do with it. Went off at six. And it took me awhile to figger out what it was.
Bacon, eggs, and vegetables sauteed in the bacon grease. And coffee. Mmmm...breakfast.
Mmmmm......coffee....
Should do the morning walk thing....should do yard work....don't feel like doing much of anything. Thought I'd measure the windows and get stuff to make screens for them....or maybe I should check out that shelf thingie hanging from the ceiling of the garage. It looks like there's at least two window panes up there and some screen door frames.
Good morning!
Here's another tropical wave
I have a really hard time putting eyedrops in too.... and it worse if someone else does it. No contacts for me!
But I married a guy who can touch his own eyeball.... creepy ;~D
It's nice and cool here this morning - currently low fifties - so I may go for a walk after breakfast, too. Should also clean. And job search, I suppose. But there aren't a lot of new jobs posted on weekends, and my last three or four experiences with retail stores haven't been too positive...so maybe I'll just take a break and play guitar instead.
Run away! Run away!
Oh - and goodmorning to the rest of ya that are up so far...
Sorry, I don't have another tropical wave.
Good Morning - beautiful day, crisp, sunny, and the grass is too wet to mow (yet). But our little bushy tailed friends are attempting cover the front lawn with cut branches, leaves and acorns.
Based on previous efforts, it looks like about 3 five gallon buckets worth. We figure that if we had not been keeping up with it, the lawn would be completely covered with shingle oak leaves, acorns and branches.
LSA's vision in her right eye is remarkablely clear. Since the left one hasn't been done, she is wearing her glasses sans the right lense. To protect the right one, she is wearing an old pair of my bifocals over the other. Works quite well. Vision in the right eye went from 20/Lord Knows to 20/25. Quite remarkable, imho
I should probably overseed parts of the lawn this fall....but I wanted to get up most or all of the concrete bits that the sunroom guys left first.
Kewl! Was wondering how the recovery was going.
Some fool is out mowing his wet grass now.
Oh...that's gonna look lovely.
That's pretty fast! Glad it's working out well!
When does she go back for the other?
great news about LSA... 20/25 is very liveable...
arrows will be flying this morning...
Left eye is Sept. 27. After about six weeks, she goes in for new 'reading' glasses. She is not supposed to need glasses except to see. Quite a change for a someone who has been wearing glasses since 2nd grade.
When I was in the Air Force, the dorm residents had week long shifts as cleaning and yard work crews - usually about every six months your turn would come up. And invariably the guy that was in charge of the dorm (who just supervised us, but didn't help with that kinda stuff) would tell us to mow first thing in the morning and then complain that there were clumps of wet grass everywhere. And we'd rake. And try to smooth it all out.
I guess it kept us out of trouble.
Good Morning G'nad. "feathers through the wind, steel through the flesh" (Mark Baker-CD of same name)
Guess you know that it is DEER SEASON. hmmm. venison on grill. That tenderloin you grilled up at ShootMoot was the the BEST I have ever been priviledged to consumed.
Hehehe...Guess I can wait for the grass to dry....or for the immediate neighbors to start mowing theirs. :)
Do you remember what site Corin was going to get those flower balls from? Maybe tomorrow I'll go to Home Depot and check out what kind of plants are for sale. Back home the pansies should be showing up. And I want to plant some daffodils and crocus along the front walk.
