Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

How horrible! It's so hard to comprehend destruction on that scale.

Hi...it's me, your friendly neighborhood prayer pest.
Got a call today from the second recruiter lady - the folkses she was recruiting for want to interview me next Tuesday at two. What's more, she said they said this was just a "chemistry" kinda interview to see how I fit in, because they felt my resume spoke for itself. *gulp* So...this could potentially be it, I'm thinking. At least...I have a pretty good chance at it. As I've said all too many times over the past months, prayer would be appreciated.
May hear back as early as tomorrow on the other place - find out if I do or do not get a second interview there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that, too.

Kin I put thread kilter on my resume, or would that just confuse folks?

Sounds good, anyway. It'll be interesting to see how it goes!
Hopefully Rose will be hearing back from Cool Company soon, too!

Tomorrow, maybe... there was at least one other candidate, so we'll have to see who they decide to go with.

Coffee's on....where is everybody? I'm home! Finally! 'twas a long day traveling.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
How did she feel like the second interview went?
I don't even know what folks *do* in a second interview. I've never had one before...though I'm hoping I'll get one for the college position. That one's a bit different, though, since the first time around it wasn't a true interview.

They're still better off than some folks, and they know that, and are very grateful for it Glad they're ok. Stuff can be replaced, folkses can't.
To: RosieCotton
I don't even know what folks *do* in a second interview. She met with "senior" management... since this is a smallish company, in this case that means the co-owners.
As for how it went, well, it was ok she thinks... about like the first one.

So your flights were able to refuel?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
In other words, it probably went better than she thinks it went. ;-)
Prayers for a great outcome!
